Sometimes when I am walking downtown among all of those tall building, I wonder what kind of precautions they have taken again emergencies.  The building where my office is located has set up a plan where everyone should be able to get out of the building and be accounted for if there is ever an emergency.  They have worked diligently to put this plan into service.  I know they probably spent a lot of time and energy pulling such a massive project together.  We have all been kept informed over the years about having a disaster recovery plan in place.  Since 9/11 happened, I think building safety has become a huge priority for most of the downtown area.  I am sure there are other plans the City has in place, like for crowd control and public transportation concerns.  I sure hope there is never a need to put any of these plans into action, but it is sure a better feeling knowing that people are trying to be prepared than if you never heard a word about what plans are in place.  We all have to go to work, and want to rest easy knowing there is a plan in place.
