PLAY DOWNTOWN
So yesterday my roommate treated me to dinner. We were suppose to go to a play downtown that he had gotten free tickets too, but he mixed up the dates that we were suppose to go. The play was next week instead of this and he did not find this out until about twenty minutes before I got downtown on the train. So to make up for me taking an unnecessary trip, he offered to pay for dinner at this seafood restaurant he read about in the East Village Chicago neighborhood Guide. I realized that I had been there before once we got there, it was not far from my apartment and I had lunch there before with a friend of mine who lives in the neighborhood. I am not much for seafood though, so I went with the reuben sandwich like I did last time. Thinking back on it, I should have been a little more adventurous seeing as how I was not paying, but maybe next time. They make some great food though, and I love their potato pancakes. We are going to try to make it back there next Wednesday though, we found out that Wednesdays are all you can eat rib night. The price is a little steep for both of our budgets, but we figure it will be worth it once in a while.
