FAVORITE PERFORMERS
I was very excited to get my hands on a pair of Jersey Boys tickets. I’m not usually a musicals type of guy, in fact I normally prefer a good drama or suspense story, but what intrigued me about this particular Broadway musical was that it was based on a true story. Many critically acclaimed and award winning shows that have been receiving a lot of press of late have not been about subjects that I’ve had a whole lot of interest in. Though I enjoyed the Wizard of Oz when I was younger and I could certainly understand why people wanted to attend Wicked I didn’t really have any desire to go see it, and I could have never in a million years have envisioned myself going to see Cats. Jersey Boys, on the other hand, was not only a true story but one that I could even relate to. I grew up in New Jersey and our family went through some very tough times financially, couple that with the fact that Frankie Valli just so happens to be one of my favorite performers from that era and I seem to have found a winning combination. If they start putting together a few more musicals like this I may just become a theater buff yet.
